INTRODUCTION:

AWS A5.1 E7018 is a carbon steel electrode with Fe powder and low-hydrogen potassium coating. It has good welding performace with smooth arc, low spatter level and effortless slag removal ability. The deposited metal has high deposition efficiency and good mechanical properties.

PURPOSE:

The rod is applicable for efficient welding of important structures of carbon steel and low alloy steel.

Precautions:

Before welding, the welding electrode should be baked at 350℃ for 1 hour
Impurities such as rust, oil stain and moisture must be cleared off of work piece before welding.
Operating with short arc and narrow gap when welding.
